Whether the result is infection, pregnancy, or emotional
trauma, teen sex has a devastating cost.  Yet, teens do
have the ability to make a choice to protect their health
and their heart.

Quite simply, the message of Concerned About Teen Sexuality is that
sexual abstinence before marriage has value.  The C.A.T.S. program
helps teens realize that their actions have consequences and that their
choices matter.

C.A.T.S. works with teachers to ensure that the program meets the
needs of their classes and includes appropriate and relevant information.

Concerned About
Teen Sexuality
You want to help them? C.A.T.S. can help you.
A typical C.A.T.S. presentation takes 1 class period & includes:

  • 3-5 student speakers, each presenting a unique 5-7 minute talk
  • Visual aids, skits, and interactive lessons
  • A variety of topics, such as dating ideas, STIs, how to deal with
sexual pressure, date rape, reasons to wait, and the effect of drugs
    and alcohol on sexual choices
Peer-to-peer communication is a
powerful too.  High school
students who are committed to a
lifestyle of sexual abstinence
present the C.A.T.S. program.
During the classroom
presentations, they explain their
reasons for committing to
abstinence and encourage others
to join them in a lifestyle that
values sexual health and
responsibility.
A Message for Teens Delivered by Teens
"The CATS team made me realize
I don’t need to have sex to prove I
love someone, and I’m gonna
change my ways.  You guys
probably saved me"

- Student
"Because of my decision to wait,
I sometimes feel out of the
ordinary.  It's good to know there
are teens who share my views."

- Student
"When the C.A.T.S. students show
up and play games, present skits
and involve students in activities
that demonstrate the dangers of
sexual activities, it makes
everything real for my students.  I
am so proud of these young adults!
What wonderful role models for
our youth!"
